The American Library Association recently announced their 2013 award winning books. The award of most interest to high school students would be the Printz Award for excellence in young adult literature. This award is named for Michael L. Printz who was a high school librarian in Kansas.
This year's winning and honor books are:
Winner: Midwinter Blood, by Marcus Wedgwick.
Honor: Eleanor & Park, by Rainbow Rowell
Kingdom of Little Wounds, by Susann Cokal
Maggot Moon, by Sally Gardner
Navigating Early, by Clare Vanderpool
